“ Harvey Nichols in Leeds' Victoria Quarter on Briggate is probably one of the nicer and more high-end department stores in the city centre. It is a stone's throw away from Trinity Leeds. The focus here is mainly on your cosmetics and beauty brands, as well as stocking fashion items and accessories, such as handbags, rather than having a wider selection of other categories, such as technology which you would find at John Lewis nearby. The store does have a good and luxurious feel to it, with the Food Hall on the upper floor, having a nice selection of novelty gifts, obviously, the price is high but that is common with gift-sets anyway. Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor Brasserie and Bar, is also present next to the Food Hall, offering a selection of food and drinks in a relatively comfortable environment. The building does look pretty ordinary compared to other branches, such as those in Manchester, Edinburgh and London, but this is still a fairly good store and the staff are friendly enough, it is well worth a look in while shopping in Leeds city centre. 4* ”

“ Ok, if I'm honest with myself, I'll probably never earn enough to be a regular shopper at Harvey Nichols. As beautiful and polished and shiny as everything is, the prices here are too high for me and too hard to justify. At least for most of the stuff. Maybe I'll be able to stretch to the occasionally item from the cosmetics section, but that's almost it. The exception is the fourth floor, which houses a restaurant and the food section. Here you'll find cookery books, alochol and foodie delights. Harvey Nichols has their own range of things like teas, biscuits, jams and pastas and also stocks things from other companies. Many of them items on sale are difficult to find elsewhere. It's still pricey, but I don't think it's quite as far outside the usual budget as the rest of Harvey Nichols is. If you have a foodie friend or two (and you're on Yelp so... let's just assume you do) this would be a good place to find a gift for them. Or maybe the occasional treat for yourself. ”

“ Leeds' premiere super expensive landmark shopping palace is hard to knock... So long as you have lots of cash and a slender figure which will fit into the Dolce, McQueen and Armani. For those not wanting to spend stupid cash though, they also sell Acne tees in various grey-like shades and Varvaros Converse Collaborations... and what's not to love about that! Oh, and they have a lovely eatery on the top floor too, complete with bar... Yay for shopping and champagne in the same building! ”

“ This place is huge! I only went up and looked at the top most floor. I really enjoyed the doorman and the window decorations though. The next time I got back to England, I am going to take my time looking in this store. If only I had endless money for it. That would be perfect. ”

“ Situated under the inordinately beautiful stained glass roof of the Victoria Quarter, the Harvey Nichols Espresso Bar has the ideal location to create an impressive experience for its customers. This little cafe is the usual destination for my Mam and I when she journeys to Leeds to go shopping, disguised with the vague notion of visiting me! I jest. Breakfasting here feels luxurious, as though we are on holiday - the Harvey Nichols brand rarely disappoints. As a coffee lover, my Mam partakes in a caffeine fix whilst I usually sample the refreshing benefits of some Darjeeling tea. A delicious choice of fresh croissants, pastries and English muffins is available, accompanied by scrumptious preserves. Revitalised and with the cockles of our hearts thoroughly warmed, a morning pit stop at the Harvey Nichols Espresso Bar has often proved to be the catalyst to a successful and energised day's shopping. ”

“ Most people will have heard or even visited a harvey Nichols store. If not, I suggest you do, like...now! Where else are you going to go where the doorman tips his hat you you, opens the door and says 'Morning Miss!'...or where you can find such an abundance of haute couture under one roof? As soon as you walk in, you get hit by the sheer sparkle of the jewellery cabinets and the bags and other accessories and over a few floors you'll find many many design house sections. Even though I love the idea of Harvey Nichols, a lot of the clothes do not appear to me. I think a lot of people who are interested in fashion feel that they have to bow down to a name like Harvey Nichols and worship everything in store. Not so...granted, there are lots of lovely designs and accessories but they have lovely price tags to go with them. ”

“ Everyone knows Harvey Nics, right? Well, that's good - because it's only one of the biggest and most popular department stores in the UK, isn't it? Why then, should I review it? Well, it's just, I never feel like I'm fully given the full Harvey Nichols experience. That's why it doesn't get five stars, you see. Respect where it's due, Harvey Nics IS amazing. There's all of the top brands, some amazing products, it's like Willy Wonka's factory of fashion would be - if he didn't have such a sweet tooth. But, as a young scruffy male, I'm not sure I get the full treatment. The doorman doesn't seem to want to open the door to me, unless I'm with my girlfriend of course... and the staff show little interest in me. Alright, so - most of the time I can't afford anything more than a pair of socks (even they're twenty quid!) but sometimes I am looking for something in particular. Don't judge a book by it's hairy-faced cover, and all that, will you Harvey? ”
